jQuery Ajax/JS lib Hooks Another ColdFusion Notable

Dan G. Switzer, the main main behind the awesome qForms Javascript Validation Library has been frequenting the jQuery discussion list. Looks like he's also taking advantage of the very hot jQuery Ajax/Javascript Library for his projects.

Its great to see the jQuery library continue to make inroads in the ColdFusion community. And with Rob Gonda releasing AjaxCFC for jQuery, there's no reason why you shouldn't take a look at this great library.

Rey Bango's Gravatar Hey Hal! Glad to see you! Its been quite some time since we last corresponded. I hope things are going well for you. jQuery is truly a work of art and considering that its wrapped up in a ~20k package, its absolutely amazing what can be done. Are you actively using it?

Hal Helms's Gravatar Yes, I am, Ray. Not only does it offer wonderful functionality, but I love the simplicity of the framework. I think it was Jim Gosling, one of the creators of Java, who said "Any smart idiot can make something more complicated and bigger, but it takes real genius to make something simple." Amen, Jim.

(I also love the ability to do method-chaining, the plugin architecture, etc. John is a REALLY smart guy...)
